Theindicatorlightintheinstrumentclusterwillflash
• Theing thesystemtrunkremainsbuttonarmedwill notduringdisarmtrunktheentry.system.Press-If
someone enters the vehicle through the trunk and
opensanydoor,thealarmwillsound.
rapidly for 16 seconds. This shows that the system is
arming. During this period, if a door is opened, the
ignitionswitchisturnedON,orthepowerdoorlocksare
unlocked in any manner, the system will automatically
disarm. After 16 seconds, the indicator light will flash
slowly.Thisshowsthatthesystemisfullyarmed.

When the system is armed, the interior power door
lockswitcheswillnotunlockthedoors.
TheVehicleSecurityAlarmsystemisdesignedtoprotect
yourvehicle;however,youcancreateconditionswhere
the system will give you a false alarm. If one of the
previouslydescribedarmingsequenceshasoccurred,the
system will arm regardless of whether you are in the
vehicle or not. If you remain in the vehicle and open a
door, the alarm will sound. If this occurs, disarm the
system.
NOTE:
Alarmisarmed,theHomelink/GarageDoorOpener(if
equipped)isdisabledaswell.
For added security, whenever the Security
ToDisarmtheSystem:
EitherpresstheUNLOCKbuttonontheremotekeyless
entry transmitter or insert a valid sentry key into the
ignitionlockcylinderandturnthekeytotheON/START
position.
If the alarm system is armed and the battery becomes
disconnected the system will remain armed when the
batteryisreconnected.Theexteriorlightswillflash,the
horn will sound, and the ignition will not start the
vehicle.Ifthisoccurs,disarmthesystem.
NOTE:
•
Thedriver’sdoorkeycylinderandthetrunkbuttonon
thekeylessentrytransmittercannotarmordisarmthe
system.
