When the ignition switch is in the “OFF” position, or
whentheradiofrequencyisbeingdisplayed,timekeep-
ingisaccuratelymaintained.

Your new radio will provide excellent reception under
mostoperatingconditions.Likeanysystem,however,car
radios have performance limitations, due to mobile op-
erationandnaturalphenomena,whichmightleadyouto
believe your sound system is malfunctioning. To help
youunderstandandsaveyouconcernaboutthese“ap-
parent” malfunctions, you must understand a point or
two about the transmission and reception of radio sig-
nals.
OntheAM/FM/CD(6-disc)radiothetimebuttonalter-
nates the location of the time and frequency on the
display.OntheAM/FM/CD(single-disc)radioonlyone
ofthetwo,timeorfrequencyisdisplayed.
