UNDERSTANDINGYOURINSTRUMENTPANEL
ProceduretoUpdatetheVariance:
Turn the ignition switch to the ON position while
leavingthetransmissionselectorinPARK.
Press the Step Button Several Times until “Personal
Settings”isdisplayedintheEVICwindow.
Once in “Personal Settings,” Press the STEP button

until“CompassVariance”andthecurrentvaluedisplays
intheEVICwindow.

PressandreleasetheRESETButtontoincrementthe
Variance Value by one, (one button press per update),
untilthepropervariancezoneisselectedaccordingtothe
map.
NOTE: TheVariancevalueswillwraparoundfrom15
backto1.TheDefaultVarianceisZone8.

PressandreleasetheRESETbuttontoexit.Pressthe
STEPbuttonifyouwishtocalibratethecompassmanu-
ally(see:“ManualCompassCalibration”listedabove).
