ThisistheTirePressureMonitoringSystemwarn-
ingindicatorlocatedintheinstrumentcluster.
• lowThe TPMtire pressureSystemaswilllongcontinueas thetoconditionwarn theexists,driverandof
will not turn off until the tire pressure is at or above
recommendedcoldplacardpressure.Oncethelowtire
pressurewarninghasbeenilluminated,thetirepres- 5
sure must be increased to the recommended cold
placardpressureinorderfortheTPMwarninglampto
be turned off. The system will automatically update
and the TPM warning lamp will extinguish once the
updatedtirepressureshavebeenreceived.Thevehicle
mayneedtobedrivenforupto10minutesabove15
mph(25km/h)toreceivethisinformation.

The Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) will
warn the driver of a low tire pressure based on the
vehiclerecommendedcoldplacardpressure.
Thetirepressurewillvarywithtemperaturebyabout

psi(6.9kPa)forevery12°F(6.5°C).Thismeansthat
whentheoutsidetemperaturedecreases,thetirepres-
surewilldecrease.Tirepressureshouldalwaysbeset
basedoncoldinflationtirepressure.Thisisdefinedas
thetirepressureafteravehiclehasnotbeendrivenfor
morethan3hours-andinoutsideambienttempera-
ture.Refertothe“Tires–GeneralInformation”inthis
sectionforinformationonhowtoproperlyinflatethe
vehicle’s tires. The tire pressure will also increase as
thevehicleisdriven-thisisnormalandthereshould
benoadjustmentforthisincreasedpressure.
For example, your vehicle may have a recommended
cold(parkedformorethan3hours)placardof35°F(241
kPa).Iftheambienttemperatureis68°F(20°C)andthe
measuredtirepressureis30psi(207kPa),atemperature
drop to 20 °F (-7 °C) will decrease the tire pressure to
approximately 26 psi (179 kPa). This tire pressure is
