WARNING!
Thestandardpowersteeringsystemwillgiveyougood
vehicle response and increased ease of maneuverability
in tight spaces. The system will provide mechanical
steeringcapabilityifpowerassistislost.
Continued operation with reduced power steering
assistcouldposeasafetyrisktoyourselfandothers.
Serviceshouldbeobtainedassoonaspossible.
Ifforsomereasonthepowerassistisinterrupted,itwill
stillbepossibletosteeryourvehicle.Underthesecondi-
tions,youwillobserveasubstantialincreaseinsteering
effort, especially at very low vehicle speeds and during
parkingmaneuvers.

Prolonged operation of the steering system at the
end of the steering wheel travel will increase the
steeringfluidtemperatureanditshouldbeavoided
whenpossible.Damagetothepowersteeringpump
mayoccur.
NOTE: Increasednoiselevelsattheendofthesteering
wheeltravelareconsiderednormalanddonotindicate
thatthereisaproblemwiththepowersteeringsystem.
Upon initial start-up in cold weather, the power
steeringpumpmaymakenoiseforashortamountof
time.Thisisduetothecold,thickfluidinthesteering
system.Thisnoiseshouldbeconsiderednormal,and
doesnotinanywaydamagethesteeringsystem.
