To Release the Steering Wheel  Lock
Insertthekeyintheignitionswitchandstarttheengine.
Ifthekeyisdifficulttoturn,movethewheelslightlyto
therightorlefttodisengagethelock.
Sentry Keyா Immobilizer System
TheSentryKey௡ImmobilizerSystempreventsunautho-
rized operation of the vehicle by disabling the engine.
Thesystemwillshuttheengineoffaftertwosecondsof
runningifaninvalidkeyisusedtostartthevehicle.This
system utilizes ignition keys, which have an electronic
chip(transponder)embeddedintothem.Onlykeysthat
havebeenprogrammedtothevehiclecanbeusedtostart
andoperatethevehicle.

NOTE: If you turned the wheel to the right to engage
thelock,youmustturnthewheelslightlytotherightto
disengageit.Ifyouturnedthewheeltothelefttoengage
thelock,turnthewheelslightlytothelefttodisengageit.
Automatic Transaxle Ignition Interlock System
Thissystempreventsthekeyfrombeingremovedunless
theshiftleverisinPARKandtheshiftknobpushbutton
is out. It also prevents shifting out of PARK unless the
keyisintheACCorONpositionsandthebrakepedalis
depressed.
TheSentryKey௡ImmobilizerSystemdoesnotneedtobe
armedoractivated.Operationofthesystemisautomatic
regardless if the vehicle is locked or unlocked. During
normaloperation,theVehicleSecurityLightwillcomeon
forthreesecondsimmediatelyaftertheignitionswitchis
turned on for a bulb check. Afterwards, if the bulb
remainson,thisindicatesaproblemwiththeelectronics.
