WindowFogging
SummerOperation
Vehiclesidewindowstendtofogontheinsideinmild,
rainy or humid weather. To clear the windows, use the
A/C,PanelandBlowercontrols.Directthepaneloutlets
towardthesidewindows.Donotuserecirculatewithout
A/Cforlongperiods,asfoggingmayoccur.
Vehiclesmustbeprotectedwithahigh-qualityantifreeze
coolanttoprovidepropercorrosionprotectionandtoraise
the boiling point of the coolant for protection against
overheating.A50%concentrationisrecommended.
OutsideAirIntake
Interior fogging on the windshield can be quickly re-
movedbyusingthedefrostposition.
When operating the system, make sure the air intake, 4
directly in front of the windshield, is free of ice, slush,
snow or other obstructions such as leaves. Leaves col-
lected in the air-intake plenum may reduce airflow and
plugtheplenumwaterdrains.
Ifthefoggingproblempersists,cleantheinsidewindow
surfaces.Thecauseofunduefoggingmaybedirtcollect-
ingontheinsidesurfaceoftheglass.
Theblowerairwillheatfasterincoldweatherifyouuse
only a low blower speed for the first few minutes of
vehicleoperation.
NOTE:
In cold weather, the use of the recirculate
positionwillcausewindowstofogontheinsidebecause
of moisture buildup inside the vehicle. For maximum
defogging,usetheOutsideAirposition.
