CompassVariance
Compass Variance is the difference between magnetic
North and Geographic North. In some areas of the
country,thedifferencebetweenmagneticandgeographic
Northisgreatenoughtointroducesomecompasserror.
To ensure compass accuracy, the compass variance
shouldbeproperlysetaccordingtothecompassvariance
zonemapforthevehicle’scurrentlocation.Thecompass
in your vehicle will now automatically compensate for
thisdifference.

PressandreleasetheEVICbuttonseveraltimesuntil
“Calibrate Compass (Yes)” is displayed. Along (longer
than two seconds) EVIC button press will place the
compassincalibrationmode.

The CALindicator will come on continuously in the
EVICdisplay,toindicatethatthecompassisnowinthe
calibrationmodeandthatthevehiclecannowbedriven
to calibrate. Press the EVIC button from the ЉCalibrate
