UNDERSTANDING YOUR INSTRUMENT PANEL
NOTE: Magnetic materials such as a laptop computer,
cellphone,andPDAs(anythingwithabattery),should
bekeptawayfromthetopoftheinstrumentpanel.This
iswherethecompasssensorislocated.
1. TurntheignitionswitchtotheONposition.Leavethe
shiftleverinPARK.
2.
PressandreleasetheEVICbuttonseveraltimesuntil
you have displayed the Personal Settings (Customer-
ProgrammableFeatures)menu.
3.
Press and release the EVIC button until “Compass
Variance”andthecurrentvariancezonenumberdisplays
intheEVIC.
4.
Press and release the EVIC button to increment the
variancezonebyone,(onebuttonpressperupdate),until
thepropervariancezonenumberisselectedaccordingto
themap.
NOTE: Zone8isthefactorydefault.Duringprogram-
ming,theZoneNumberwillwraparoundfromZone15
to1.
