THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE STARTING YOUR  VEHICLE
To Disarm the Alarm
UnlockafrontdoorusingtheRKEtransmitter.
StartingthevehiclewithavalidSentryKey௡willdisarm
thesystem.Avalidkeyisonethatisprogrammedtothat
particularvehicle.Avalidkeywilldisarmthesystem.An
invalidkeywilltriggerthealarm.
TamperAlert
Ifthehornsoundsthreetimeswhenyouunlockafront
door using the RKE transmitter, the alarm has been
activated.Checkthevehiclefortampering.
Security System Manual Override
The Vehicle Security Alarm system will not arm if you
lockthedoorsusingthemanualdoorlockplunger.

REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY (RKE)
Thissystemallowsyoutolockorunlockthedoorsand
liftgate, or activate the Panic Alarm from distances a
minimum of 66 ft (20 m) using a hand-held RKE trans-
mitter. The RKE transmitter need not be pointed at the
vehicletoactivatethesystem.
