panel) tells the driver and front passenger when the
frontpassengerairbagisturnedoff.ThePADIndica-
torlightilluminatesthewordsЉPASSAIRBAGOFFЉ
toshowthatthefrontpassengerairbagwillnotinflate
during a collision requiring airbags. When the right
front passenger seat is empty or when very light
objects are placed on the seat, the passenger airbag
willnotinflateeventhoughthePADindicatorlightis
notilluminated.

Forallotheroccupants,thePADindicatorlightwillbe

isturnedoffandwillnotinflate.
NOTE: Even though this vehicle is equipped with an
occupant classification system, children 12 years and
youngershouldalwaysridebuckledupinarearseatin
an appropriate child restraint (see section on Child
Restraints).
