Tire Identification Number (TIN)
LookfortheTINontheoutboardsideofblacksidewall
tiresasmountedonthevehicle.IftheTINisnotfoundon
the outboard side, then you will find it on the inboard
sideofthetire.
TheTINmaybefoundononeorbothsidesofthetire,
however, the date code may only be on one side. Tires
withwhitesidewallswillhavethefullTIN,includingthe
datecode,locatedonthewhitesidewallsideofthetire.

ThissymbolcertifiesthatthetireisincompliancewiththeU.S.DepartmentofTransportationtiresafety
