Allsafetyrestraintsinthevehiclearecombinationlapandshoulder
belts.Allofthepassengercombinationlapandshoulderbeltshavethree
typesoflockingmodesdescribedbelow:
Vehicle sensitive mode
Thisisthenormalretractormode,whichallowsfreeshoulderbeltlength
adjustmenttoyourmovementsandlockinginresponsetovehicle
movement.Forexample,ifthedriverbrakessuddenlyorturnsacorner
sharply,orthevehiclereceivesanimpactofapproximately5mph
(8
km/h)ormore,thecombinationsafetybeltswilllocktohelpreduce
forwardmovementofthedriverandpassengers.
Webbingextractionsensitivemode
Thewebbingsensitivelockingmodelocksthewebbingandprevents
morebeltfrombeingpulledoutifthebeltispulledouttooquickly.The
beltwillunlockwhenyoustoppullingonit.
Automatic locking mode
Whentousetheautomaticlockingmode
Inthismode,theshoulderbeltisautomaticallypre-locked.Thebeltwill
stillretracttoremoveanyslackintheshoulderbelt.Theautomatic
lockingmodeisnotavailableonthedriversafetybelt.
Thismodeshouldbeusedanytimeachildsafetyseat,excepta
booster,isinstalledinpassengerfrontorrearseatingpositions.Children
