WARNING:Turnoffthepowerrunningboards,ifequipped,
beforeworkingunderthevehicle,jackingorplacinganyobject
underthevehicle.Neverplaceyourhandbetweentheextended
runningboardandthevehicle.Amovingrunningboardmaycause
injury.
Iftheoriginaluniversaljointsarereplacedwithuniversaljointsequipped
withgreasefittings,lubricationwillbenecessary.
Note:Yourvehicle’sdriveshaftisbalanced.Ifundercoatingthevehicle,
protectthedriveshaftanduniversaljointstopreventoversprayofany
undercoatingmaterial.Ifyourvehiclehasfour-wheeldrive,yourvehicle
hastwodriveshafts,oneconnectedtotherearaxleandoneconnected
tothefrontaxle.

Refertoscheduledmaintenanceinformationfortheappropriate
intervalsforchangingtheairfilterelement.
Whenchangingtheairfilterelement,useonlytheairfilterelement
listed.RefertoMotorcraftpartnumbersinthischapter.
