TheAdvanceTrac௡withRSC௡systemprovidesthefollowingstability
enhancementfeaturesforcertaindrivingsituations:

TractionControl(TCS),whichfunctionstohelpavoiddrive-wheel
spinandlossoftraction.
ElectronicStabilityControl(ESC),whichfunctionstohelpavoidskids
orlateralslides
RollStabilityControl™(RSC௡),whichfunctionstohelpavoida
vehicleroll-over.
TheAdvanceTrac௡withRSC௡systemautomaticallyenableseachtime
theengineisstarted.AllfeaturesoftheAdvanceTrac௡withRSC௡system
(TCS,ESC,andRSC௡)areactiveandmonitorthevehiclefromstart-up.
However,thesystemwillonlyinterveneifthedrivingsituationrequires
it.
TheAdvanceTrac௡withRSC௡
systemincludesanAdvanceTrac௡
withRSC௡ЉOffЉbuttononthe
centeroftheinstrumentpanel,and
a“slidingcar”icon
instrumentcluster.The“slidingcar”
intheinstrumentclusterwillilluminatetemporarilyduring
inthe
icon
start-upaspartofanormalsystemself-check,orduringdrivingifa
drivingsituationcausestheAdvanceTrac௡withRSC௡systemtooperate.
Ifthe“slidingcar”icon
illuminatessteadily,verifythatthe
AdvanceTrac௡withRSC௡systemisnotmanuallydisabledbypressing
theAdvanceTrac௡withRSC௡ЉOffЉbuttonlocatedonthecenterstackof
theinstrumentpanel.Ifthe“slidingcar”icon
remainssteadily
illuminated,orifthemessagecenter(ifequipped)displaysSERVICE
RSCNOW,havethesystemservicedbyanauthorizeddealer
immediately.
WhenAdvanceTrac௡withRSC௡performsanormalsystemself-check,
somedriversmaynoticeaslightmovementofthebrake,and/ora
rumble,grunting,orgrindingnoiseafterstartupandwhendrivingoff.
WhenaneventoccursthatactivatesAdvanceTrac௡withRSC௡youmay
experiencethefollowing:

Aslightdecelerationofthevehicle
The“slidingcar”
indicatorlightwillflash.
Avibrationinthepedalwhenyourfootisonthebrakepedal
