themonitoringsystem,allroadwheelsequippedwithtirepressure
monitoringsensorsmustbemountedonthevehicle.
Haveaflatservicedbyanauthorizeddealerinordertopreventdamage
totheTPMSsensor,refertoChangingtireswithTPMSintheTires,
WheelsandLoadingchapter.Replacethesparetirewitharoadtireas
soonaspossible.
WARNING:TheuseoftiresealantsmaydamageyourTire
PressureMonitoringSystemandshouldnotbeused.
WARNING:RefertoTirePressureMonitoringSystem(TPMS)
intheTires,WheelsandLoadingchapterforimportant
information.Ifthetirepressuremonitorsensorbecomesdamaged,it
willnolongerfunction.
Dissimilar spare tire/wheel information
WARNING:Failuretofollowtheseguidelinescouldresultinan
increasedriskoflossofvehiclecontrol,injuryordeath.
Note:Turnoffthepowerrunningboards(ifequipped)beforedriving
withadissimilarsparetire/wheel.RefertoRunningboardsinthe
DriverControlschapter.
Ifyouhaveadissimilarsparetire/wheel,thenitisintendedfor
temporaryuseonly.Thismeansthatifyouneedtouseit,youshould
replaceitassoonaspossiblewitharoadtire/wheelthatisthesamesize
andtypeastheroadtiresandwheelsthatwereoriginallyprovidedby
Ford.Ifthedissimilarsparetireorwheelisdamaged,itshouldbe
replacedratherthanrepaired.
