hasslack.Whenturningthewrench,
makesurethatitdoesnotscuffthe
kickplate.

Slidethetirerearward,liftone
sideandremovetheretainerfrom
thesparetire.
Changingthesparetire
WARNING:Whenoneoftherearwheelsisofftheground,the
transmissionalonewillnotpreventthevehiclefrommovingor
slippingoffthejack,evenifthetransmissionisinP(Park).
WARNING:Tohelppreventthevehiclefrommovingwhenyou
changeatire,besuretheparkingbrakeisset,thenblockthe
wheelthatisdiagonallyopposite(otherendofthevehicle)tothetire
beingchanged.
WARNING:Ifthevehicleslipsoffthejack,youorsomeoneelse
couldbeseriouslyinjured.
WARNING:Donotattempttochangeatireonthesideofthe
vehicleclosetomovingtraffic.Pullfarenoughofftheroadto
avoidthedangerofbeinghitwhenoperatingthejackorchangingthe
wheel.
WARNING:Turnofftherunningboards(ifequipped)before
workingunderthevehicle,jacking,orplacinganyobjectunder
thevehicle.Neverplaceyourhandinthehingeassemblies.Amoving
runningboardmaycauseinjury.
