Anexampleofrecreationaltowingwouldbetowingyourvehiclebehind
amotorhome.Theseguidelinesaredesignedtoensurethatyour
transmissionisnotdamaged.
Note:Putyourclimatecontrolsysteminrecirculatedairmodeto
preventexhaustfumesfromenteringthevehicle.RefertotheClimate
controlschapterformoreinformation.
2WDvehicles:Donottowyourvehiclewithanywheelsontheground,
asvehicleortransmissiondamagemayoccur.Itisrecommendedtotow
yourvehiclewithallfour(4)wheelsoffthegroundsuchaswhenusinga
car-haulingtrailer.Otherwise,norecreationaltowingispermitted.
Incaseofaroadsideemergencywithadisabledvehicle,seeWrecker

4WDvehicleswithelectronicshifttransfercase(Neutraltowkit
accessory):
Anaccessoryisavailablethatallowsyoutotowyourvehicle,behind
anothervehicle,withallthewheelsontheground.Contactyour
authorizeddealerformoredetails.Donottowyourvehiclewithall
wheelsonthegroundunlessyouinstalltheneutraltowkitasvehicle
damagemayoccur.
