Whenthevehicleisparkedunderdirectsunlightorinanextremelycold
placeforalongperiodoftime,waituntilthecabintemperatureofthe
vehicleisatnormaltemperaturebeforeoperatingthesystem.
Humidityandmoisturecondensation
MoistureintheairwillcondenseintheDVDplayerunderextremely
humidconditionsorwhenmovingfromacoldplacetoawarmone.
MoisturecondensationmaycausedamagetotheDVDand/orplayer.If
moisturecondensationoccurs,donotinsertaCDorDVDintothe
player.Ifoneisalreadyintheplayer,removeit.TurntheDVDplayerON
todrythemoisturebeforeinsertingaDVD.Thiscouldtakeanhouror
more.
Foreignsubstances
ExercisecaretopreventdirtandforeignobjectsfromenteringtheDVD
playercompartment.Beespeciallycarefulnottospillliquidsofanykind
ontothemediacontrolsorintothesystem.Ifliquidisaccidentally
spilledontothesystem,immediatelyturnthesystemOFFandconsulta
qualifiedservicetechnician.
Cleaningtheliquidcrystaldisplay(LCD)flip-downscreen
Cleanthedisplayscreenbyapplyingasmallamountofwaterorany
ammonia-basedhouseholdglasscleanerdirectlytoasoftcloth.Rubthe
screengentlyuntilthedust,dirtorfingerprintsareremoved.Donot
spraythescreendirectlywithwaterorglasscleaningsolvents.Overspray
fromthesefluidscoulddripdownintotheinternalelectronicsofthe
screenandcausedamage.Donotapplyexcessivepressurewhile
cleaningthescreen.
