Keepthevalvecapsscrewed
downfirmly-theypreventdirt
fromenteringthevalve.Check
thevalveforleaks(listenfora
tell-talehissing)whenyou
checkthetyrepressure.
Thetyresonyourvehiclehavewearindicatorsmouldedintothe
treadpatternatseveralpointsaroundthecircumference.Whenthe
treadhasworndownto1.6mm,theindicatorswillcometothe
surfaceofthetreadpattern,producingtheeffectofacontinuous
bandofrubberacrossthewidthofthetyre.
Theindicatorsprovidewarningthatthereisinsufficienttread
remaining,toprovidegoodtraction,particularlyonwetroads.For
safety,atyreMUSTbereplacedassoonasawearindicator
becomesvisible.
Iftyrewearisuneven(ononesideofthetyreonly)orbecomes
abnormallyexcessive,thewheelalignmentshouldbecheckedby
yourdealer.
Puncturedtyres
Yourvehicleisfittedwithtubelesstyres,whichwillnotnormally
leakifpenetratedbyasharpobject,provideditremainsinthetyre.
Ifyouareawareofthisoccurring,reducespeedimmediatelyand
drivewithcautionuntilthesparewheelcanbefitted.Remember,
puncturedordamagedtyresmustbepermanentlyrepairedor
replacedassoonaspossible.DONOTDRIVEWITHAFLATTYRE!
