litareasandtrytoavoid
dimlylitsidestreets.
Alwaysaimthehandsetatthevehiclewhenpressingthebutton.
Thehazardwarninglightswillflashonce,thealarmisdisarmed
immediatelyandtheengineisre-mobilised.
Neverleavethevehicle
documentsinthevehicle-
thesearearealbonusfor
thethief.
Ifthehandsetfailstounlockthevehicle,resynchronisethehandset
(see’Handsetbattery’).Ifthisfails,usethekey(see’Emergencykey
access’).

Ifthealarmsounds
keyandhandsetinthe
starterswitch.
Onceactivated,thealarmwillsoundforapproximately30seconds
beforeswitchingitselfoffandcanbetriggereduptotentimesin
totalbeforeneedingtobereset.Tosilencethealarm,presseither
handsetbutton,oroperatethedoorlocksusingthekeyinthe
driver’sdoor.
Anti-theftalarmindicatorlight
Afterlocking,theREDindicatorlightontheinstrumentpanel
flashesrapidlywhilethealarmisarmingitself.
Afterapproximately10seconds,theindicatorlightadjuststoa
slowerfrequency,andcontinuestoflashasananti-theftdeterrent
untilthealarmisdisarmed.
Interiorspaceprotection
Interiorspaceprotectionisonlyactivatedwhenthevehicleislocked
withthehandset.Asensorinsidethevehiclemonitorstheinterior
spaceandactivatesthealarmifanintrusionintothepassenger
compartmentisdetected(entrygainedthroughawindowor
sunroof,forexample).
