FITTINGTHECROSSRAILS
Ifroofbarsarefitted,twocrossrailswillhavebeensuppliedwith
thevehicle,alongwiththekeysneededtofitthem.Therailsshould
befittedbeforecarryingaloadontheroofrack.
ItisrecommendedthatLand
Roverapprovedloadcarrying
accessoriesareused,however
ifitisnecessarytoattacha
loaddirectlytothecross-rails,
usewebbingtypestraps
(preferablywitharatchet
clamp)-donotuseelasticor
’bungee’straps.

Unlocktheclamps(1)(turnthekeyinthelockaquarterturn
clockwise)ateachendofthecrossrailandpulltheclamp
coversdown(2).

Positionthecrossrailsovertheroofbars.Theoutsiderubber
edgeofeachclampshouldbetouchingtheroofbars,ifthisis
notthecase,loosenthebolt(3)withthesmallAllenkey
providedandslidetheclampassemblyalongthecrossrailuntil
thecorrectfitisachieved,thenretightenthebolt.

Whentherailisinthedesiredposition,pushtheclampcovers
up.Ifnoresistanceisfeltatthepointwherethelineandarrow
onthesideoftheclampcasinglineup,tightenthegrubscrew
(4)
untilthereisresistance.Donotovertightenthescrewasit
willthenbeimpossibletoclosetheclampcover.
Pushtheclampcoverfullyupwards,checkthattherailwillnot
moveandlockwiththekey(turnaquarterturnanti-clockwise).
