terminalsorleadstomake
contactwithtoolsormetal
partsofthecar.
Toremove;disconnectthenegative(’-’)cablefirstandthenthe
positive(’+’)cable.Whenreconnecting,connectthepositivecable
firstandthenthenegativecable.Donotallowthebatteryterminals
tomakecontactwithmetalpartsofthecar.
Toreleasethebatteryfromthecar,undotheboltandremovethe
batteryclampingplate(seeillustration).

terminalpositionswhichcouldcauseafirehazardwhenconnected

disconnectthebatterywhilethe
engineisrunning.
DONOTreversethepolarityof
thebattery-theelectrical
systemmaybedamagedifthe
batteryleadsareconnectedto
thewrongterminals.

ifthebatteryistiltedmorethan

degrees.
