operatethesteeringlock,electricalcircuitsandstartermotor.
Lockingthesteering
Afterremovingthekey,turnthe
steeringwheeltowardsthe
kerbuntilthelockengages.

-Steeringlocked
Withthekeyremoved,thesteeringcolumncanbelockedandmost
electricalcircuitsarenon-operational.
’I’-Steeringunlocked
Turntheswitchtoposition’I’tounlockthesteering.The
radio/cassetteplayercannowbeoperated.
’II’-Electricalcircuitson
Withtheswitchinposition’II’,allinstruments,lightsandelectrical
circuitsareoperational.
’III’-Startermotoroperates
Turntheswitchtoposition’III’tooperatethestartermotor;release
thekeyassoonastheenginestarts(thekeywillautomatically
returntoposition’II’).
NOTE:OnABSmodels,immediatelyaftertheengineisstarted,a
short,lowpitched’buzz’maybeheard;thisistheABSsystem
