THEEFFECTSOFBATTERYDISCONNECTION
Someofthecar’selectricalsystemswillbeaffectedifthebatteryis
disconnected.Thesearelistedbelow,togetherwiththesymptoms
youmightexperienceoncethebatteryisreconnectedandthe
actionsrequiredtorestoreoperation.
Radio/cassetteplayer
Theword’CODE’willappearinthedisplayandthesetwillfailto
operate.Torestoreoperation,enterthesecuritycodeusingthe
proceduredescribedinthe’In-carEntertainment’book.
Taildoorglass
Ifthebatteryhasbeendisconnected,thetaildoorglasswillneedto
berecalibrated.Ifthealarmwasarmedwhenthebatterywas
disconnected(ordischarged),disarmthealarmafterreconnection-
thetaildoorglasswillfullylower.Thiswillhappenautomaticallyif
thealarmwasinadisarmedstatewhenthebatterywas
disconnected.
Afterbatteryreconnection,fullyraisethetaildoorglass(iftheglass
isnotfullyraised,anerror’beep’willsound)-thetaildoorglassis
nowrecalibrated.
Alarmsystem
Thealarmsystemwillautomaticallyresettothestatusinoperation
priortobatterydisconnection,butthehandsetwillneedtobe
re-synchronised(see’Locks&Alarm’).
