POWERSTEERING
The power assisted steering system of your vehicle
provides mechanical steering capability in the event
powerassistislost.
Ifforsomereasonthehydraulicpressureisinterrupted,
itwillstillbepossibletosteeryourvehicle.Underthese
conditions you will observe a substantial increase in
steeringeffort.

TRACTIONCONTROL—IFEQUIPPED
The Traction Control System will improve acceleration
and steering on slippery surfaces by reducing tire spin.
Thesystemreduceswheelslipandmaintainstractionat
thedriving(front)wheelsbyengagingthebrakeonthe
wheel that is losing traction. When this occurs the
tractioncontrolindicatorlightlocatedintheinstrument
clusterwillflash.Thesystemoperatesatspeedsbelow35
mph(56km/h).
TractionControlSwitch
Apush-buttonlocatedonthetopofthesteeringcolumn
turnstheTractionControlSystemONorOFF.
Thesystemisalwaysinthe“ON”modeunless:

systemoff;
