substance requiring proper disposal. Check with your
localauthoritiestodeterminethedisposalrulesforyour
community. Do not store ethylene glycol based engine
coolant in open containers or allow it to remain in
puddlesontheground.Preventingestionbyanimalsor
children. If ingested by a child, contact a physician
immediately.
When additional coolant is needed to maintain the
properlevel,itshouldbeaddedtothecoolantbottle.Do
notoverfill.Specialproceduresarerequiredwhenfilling
the engine cooling system of the 2.7LEngine. See your
authorizeddealerfordetails.

CoolantLevel
The coolant bottle provides a quick visual method for
determiningthatthecoolantlevelisadequate.Withthe
engineoffandcold,thecoolantlevelshouldbebetween
the“MIN”and“MAX”marksonthesideofthecoolant
bottle. Some darkening of the coolant bottle will occur
overtime.Thisisnormal.Ifthecoolantlevelishardto
see,jostlingthecoolantbottlewillmakeiteasiertosee.
NOTE: Whenthevehicleisstoppedafterafewmilesof
operation,youmayobservevaporcomingfromthefront
of the engine compartment. This is normally a result of
moisture from rain, snow, or high humidity accumulat-
ing on the radiator and being vaporized when the
thermostatopens,allowinghotwatertoentertheradia-
tor.

There is no need to remove the radiator cap unless
checking for coolant freeze point, adding, or replacing
coolant.Adviseyourserviceattendantofthis.Aslongas
the engine operating temperature is satisfactory, the
Ifanexaminationofyourenginecompartmentshowsno
evidence of radiator or hose leaks, the vehicle may be
safelydriven.Thevaporwillsoondissipate.
