WhentheignitionswitchisfirstturnedON,this
light will turn on for 5 to 8 seconds as a bulb
check.Duringthebulbcheck,ifthedriver’ sseat
beltisunbuckled,achimewillsound.Afterthebulb
checkorwhendriving,ifthedriverseatbeltremains
unbuckled, the Seat Belt Warning Light will flash or

Thelightintheinstrumentclusterwillflashrapidlyfor
seconds.Thisshowsthatthesystemisarming.Ifthe

light comes on but does not flash, the system is still
armed,butthereisaprobleminthetrunkcircuit.After15
seconds the light will continue to flash slowly. This
showsthatthesystemisfullyarmed.
