U.S. federal regulations require that upon transfer of
vehicleownership,thesellercertifytothepurchaserthe
correct mileage that the vehicle has been driven. There-
fore,iftheodometerreadingischanged,duringrepairor
replacement, be sure to keep a record of the reading
beforeandaftertheservicesothatthecorrectmileagecan
bedetermined.
16. Anti-LockWarningLight—IfEquipped
ThislightmonitorstheAnti-LockBrakeSystem
described elsewhere in this manual. This light
will come on when the ignition key is turned to the
RUNpositionandmaystayonforseveralseconds.If
thelightdoesnotcomeon,havethesystemchecked
byanauthorizeddealer.Thewarninglightshouldbe
checkedfrequentlytoassurethatitisoperatingprop-
erly.

The trip odometer shows individual trip mileage. To
switchfromodometertotripodometer,pressandrelease
the Trip Odometer button. Press and release the Trip
buttonasecondtimetoreturntotheodometer.Whilein
tripmode,pressandholdthebuttonforatleast1⁄2second
IftheABSlightremainsonorcomesonduringdriving,
itindicatesthattheAnti-Lockportionofthebrakesystem
isnotfunctioningandthatserviceisrequired,however,
the conventional brake system will continue to operate
normallyprovidedthattheBRAKEwarninglightisnot
on.

Door,DeckorTrunkAjarWarnings
If you move the vehicle and a door is not completely
closed, the word DOOR will replace the odometer dis-
playandachimewillsoundonce.Theodometerdisplay
willreappearwhenthedoorisclosed.Ifthetrunkisnot
completely closed, the word DECK will replace the
odometer display. The odometer display will reappear
whenthetrunkisclosed.
17.
OilPressureLight
Shows low engine oil pressure. The light will
come on and remain on briefly when the igni-
tionisturnedonasabulbcheck.Ifthebulbdoesnot
come on during starting, have the bulb repaired
promptly.
