The system monitors the doors, trunk, and ignition for
unauthorizedoperation.
3. The light in the instrument cluster will flash rapidly
for15seconds.Thisshowsthatthesystemisarming.If
thelightcomesonbutdoesnotflash,thesystemisstill
armed,butthereisaprobleminthetrunkcircuit.After15
seconds the light will continue to flash slowly. This
showsthatthesystemisfullyarmed.

Ifsomethingtriggersthealarm,thesystemwillsignalfor
upto18minutes.Forthefirstthreeminutesthehornwill
sound and the headlights and interior lights will flash.
Thenthehornwillstopandifthesourceofthetriggeris
stillpresent,thelightswillcontinuetoflashforanother
Todisarmthesystem:
Unlock a front door using either the key or the Keyless
EntryTransmitter.

NOTE: The engine will not start until you disarm the
TamperAlert
system.
Ifthehornsounds3timeswhenyouunlockafrontdoor
using either a key or the Keyless Entry Transmitter, the
alarmhadbeentriggered.Checkthevehiclefortamper-
ing.
Tosetthealarm:
1.
Removethekeysfromtheignitionswitchandgetout
ofthevehicle.
SecuritySystemManualOverride
Thesystemwillnotarmifyoulockthedoorsusingthe
manuallockcontrol.
2.
Lockthedoorusingeitherthepowerdoorlockswitch,
the key, or the Keyless Entry Transmitter and close all
doors.
