The rear power outlet is a direct feed from the battery so
it receives power whether the ignition is in the ON or
OFF position.
CAUTION!
ElectricalOutletUseWithEngineOff
All accessories connected to this outlet shou ld be re-
moved or turned off when the vehicle is not in use.
• Many accessories that can be plugged in draw
power from the vehicle’s battery, even when not 3
in use (i.e., cellular phones, etc.). Eventually, if
pluggedinlongenough,thevehicle’sbatterywill
discharge sufficiently to degrade battery life
and/orpreventenginestarting.
•
Accessoriesthatdrawhigherpower(i.e.,coolers,
vacuum cleaners, lights, etc.) will degrade the
battery even more quickly. Only use these inter-
mittentlyandwithgreatercaution.
•
After the use of high power draw accessories, or
longperiodsofthevehiclenotbeingstarted(with
accessories still plugged in), the vehicle must be
driven a sufficient length of time to allow the
alternatortorechargethevehicle’sbattery.
