DialingUsingtheCellularPhoneKeypad
Turning confirm ation prom pts off will stop the system
from confirm ing you r choices (e.g. the UConnect™ sys-
tem will not rep eat a phone nu mber before you dial it).
You can dial a phone nu mber with you r cellular phone
keyp ad and still use the UConnect™ system (while
dialing via the cell phone keyp ad, the user must exercise
caution and take precau tionary safety measu res). By

dialing a nu mber with you r paired Bluetooth™ cellular
phone, the audio will be played throu gh you r vehicle’s
audio system . The UConnect™ system will work the
sam e as if you dial the nu mber using voice recognition.

Press the ’Phone’ button to begin.
After the ЉRead yЉ prom pt and the follow ing beep , say
ЉSetup Confirm ations.Љ The UConnect™ system will
play the current confirm ation prom pt statu s and you
will be given the choice to change it.
NOTE: Certain brand s of mobile phones do not send the
dial ring to the UConnect™ system to play it on the
vehicle audio system , so you will not hear it. Und er this
situ ation, after successfu lly dialing a nu mber, the user
may feel that the call did not go throu gh even thou gh the
call is in progress. Once you r call is answ ered , you will
hear the audio.
PhoneandNetworkStatusIndicators
The UConnect™ system will provid e notification to
inform you if you r cellular phone is in roam ing statu s,
has low signal strength, or has a low battery when you
are trying to place a phone call.
