If the ABS light is on, the brake system shou ld be serviced
as soon as possible to restore the benefit of Anti-Lock
Brakes.

Anti-LockWarningLight(ABS)—IfEquipped
This light monitors the Anti-Lock Brake System
(ABS) described elsew here in this manu al. This
The operation of the ABS light can be checked by turning
the ignition switch from the OFF position to the ON
position. The light shou ld illuminate for approxim ately
two second s. The light shou ld then turn off unless the
parking brake is applied or a brake fault is detected . If the
light does not illuminate, have the light insp ected by an
authorized dealer.

If the light comes back on immediately or comes on
during driving, it ind icates that the Anti-Lock portion of
the brake system is not functioning and that service is
requ ired , how ever, the conventional brake system will
continu e to operate norm ally provid ed that the BRAKE
warning light is not on. Also, a chim e will sou nd if the
light comes back on.
10. ChargingSystemWarningLight
This light show s the statu s of the electrical charg-
ing system . The light shou ld come on for three
second s when the ignition is first turned ON. If the light
comes back on immediately or comes on while driving, it
means that there is a problem with the charging system
or the battery is low. Also, a chim e will sou nd if the light
comes back on. See you r authorized dealer immediately.
