The best time to check the engine oil level is abou t 5
minu tes after a fully warm ed engine has been shu t off, or
before starting the engine after it has sat overnight.

interval at which you r oil shou ld be changed . Check the
follow ing to determ ine if any apply to you :
Checking the oil while the vehicle is on level grou nd will
improve the accuracy of the oil level read ings. Maintain
the oil level betw een the ADD and SAFE markings on the
dipstick. Adding 1 U.S. Quart (0.95L) of oil when the
read ing is at the ADD mark will resu lt in a SAFE read ing
on these engines.
