CoolingSystem—Drain,Flush,AndRefill
At the intervals show n on the approp riate “Maintenance
Sched ule” the system shou ld be drained , flushed , and
refilled .
CAUTION!
•
Mixingofantifreeze/coolantotherthanthespeci-
fied HOAT antifreeze/coolant may result in de-
creased corrosion protection and engine damage.
If a non-HOAT antifreeze/coolant is introduced
intothecoolingsysteminanemergency,itshould
be replaced with the specified antifreeze/coolant
assoonaspossible.
If the coolant solu tion is dirty or contains a consid erable
amount of sed iment, clean and flush with a reliable
cooling system cleaner (see you r authorized dealer for
recom mend ations). Follow with a thorou gh rinsing to
rem ove all deposits and chem icals. Prop erly dispose of
old antifreeze/ coolant solu tion.
• Doantifreeze/coolantnot use plainproducts.water aloneDonotorusealcoholadditionalbase
rust inhibitors or antirust products, as they may
notbecompatiblewiththeantifreeze/coolantand
mayplugtheradiator.

Use only the manu factu rer’s recom mend ed antifreeze/
coolant, refer to Recom mend ed Fluids, Lubricants, and
Genu ine Parts for correct antifreeze/ coolant typ e.

This vehicle has not been designed for use with
PropyleneGlycolbasedantifreeze/coolant.Useof
Propylene Glycol base antifreeze/coolant is not
recommended.
