Air flows throu gh the floor outlets, the outlets at
the base of the wind shield , and the side wind ow
demisters outlets.

Defrost
In mild but rainy or hu mid weather, wind ows will fog on
the insid e. To rap idly clear the fog off all the wind ows,
select the defrost mode, turn the tem peratu re control
knob fully clockw ise, and position the blow er control to
its highest speed . Once the wind shield has been cleared ,
adjust the controls for you r comfort.

wind shield and throu gh the side wind ow demister
outlets.

On air cond itioned vehicles, the compressor will operate
when in the Mix or Defrost modes and when the outsid e
tem peratu re is approxim ately 30°F (-1°C) to provid e
additional defrost/ defog.
For a fast cool down, turn the blow er fan rotary knob to
the extrem e clockw ise position, turn the mode selector to
the panel position and drive with the wind ows open for
the first few minu tes. Once the hot air has been expelled ,
close the wind ows and turn the mode selector to Max
A/ C-Recircu lation. When a comfortable cond ition has
been reached , choose a mode position and adjust the
tem peratu re control knob and blow er speed as necessary
