Ind icates engine coolant tem peratu re. Any read -
ing within the norm al range ind icates that the
cooling system is operating satisfactorily.
Press this button to toggle betw een the odometer and trip
odometer display. When in the trip odometer mode,
hold ing the button in resets the trip odometer. Also,
pressing the “Reset” button will clear out any warning
messages in the odometer display.
The gage pointer will likely ind icate a higher tem peratu re
(above center scale) when driving in hot weather, up
mountain grad es, in heavy stop and go traffic, or when
tow ing a trailer. It shou ld not be allow ed to exceed the
upper limits of the norm al operating range.

A vacu um fluorescent display ind icates the total distance
the vehicle has been driven. Also, the cluster will display,
rep lacing the odometer/ trip odometer, vehicle warning
messages such as: door/ gate/ glass ajar and low washer
fluid. See approp riate sections for more inform ation.
If the pointer rises to the red zone (five chim es will
occur), pull over and stop the vehicle. Do not turn the
engine off. Idle the vehicle with the air cond itioning
turned off, until the pointer drop s back into the norm al
range. If the engine rem ains in the high range, turn the
engine off and call for service.
NOTE:
If vehicle is equ ipped with the optional Elec-
tronic Vehicle Inform ation Center (EVIC) in the overhead
warnings inclu ding “door”,
“GLASS”, and “LOWASH ” will only be displayed in the
console,
