Use the follow ing proced ure to prep are you r vehicle for
recreational tow ing.
Recreational towing is not allowed. Towing with the
rear wheels on the grou nd can resu lt in severe transm is-
sion damage.
CAUTION!

Itisnecessarytofollowthesestepstobecertainthat
the transfer case is fully in N (Neutral) before
recreational towing to prevent damage to internal
parts.
CAUTION!
Internal damage to the transfer case will occur if a
front or rear wheel lift is used when recreational
towing.

Dep ress brake pedal.
Shift transm ission into N (Neutral).
NOTE: The transfer case must be shifted into N (Neu-
tral), and the transm ission must be shifted into P (Park)
3. Shift transfer case lever into N (Neutral).
4.
Start engine.
