For best perform ance and maxim um protection for all
engines und er all typ es of operating cond itions, the
manu factu rer recom mend s using synthetic engine oils
that are API Certified (SL/ CF), and meet the requ ire-
ments of Daim lerChrysler Material Stand ard MS-10725.
There are a nu mber of engine oils being prom oted as
either synthetic or semi-synthetic. If you chose to use
such a prod uct, use only those oils that are certified by
the American Petroleu m Institu te (API) to display the
sym bol on the front of the container or the prop er ACEA
category and show the recom mend ed SAE viscosity
grad e. Follow the service sched ule that describes you r
driving typ e.

Use SAE 0W-40 Mobil 1 Synthetic Engine Oil that
meetsAPIcategoriesCForbetterandtherequirements
ofDaimlerChryslerMaterialStandardMS-10725.Ifyou
cannot find SAE 0W-40, then SAE 5W-40 Mobil 1
SyntheticEngineOilisacceptable.Anyengineoilthat
doesnotmeetthemanufacturer’srequirementsshould
notbeused.
MaterialsAddedToEngineOils
The manu factu rer stronglyrecommends against the ad-
dition of any additives (other than leak detection dyes) to
engine oil. Engine oil is an engineered prod uct and it’s
perform ance may be impaired by supplemental addi-
tives.

Lubricants which do not have both, the engine oil certi-
fication mark and the correct SAE viscosity grad e nu m-
ber shou ld not be used .
