Use only high purity water such as distilled or deionized
water when mixing the water/ antifreeze (coolant) solu -
tion. The use of lower quality water will red uce the
amount of corrosion protection in the engine cooling
system .
Your vehicle has been built with an improved antifreeze/
coolant that allow s extend ed maintenance intervals. This
antifreeze/ coolant can be used up to 5 Years or 100,000
miles before rep lacem ent. To prevent red ucing this ex-
tend ed maintenance period , it is important that you use
the sam e antifreeze/ coolant throu ghou t the life of you r
vehicle. Please review these recom mend ations for using
Hybrid Organic Additive Technology (HOAT) coolant.
Please note that it is the owner’s resp onsibility to main-
tain the prop er level of protection against freezing ac-
cord ing to the tem peratu res occurring in the area where
the vehicle is operated .
When adding antifreeze/ coolant, a minim um solu tion of

The cap must be fully tightened to prevent loss of
antifreeze/ coolant, and to insu re that antifreeze/ coolant
will retu rn to the rad iator from the coolant recovery
bottle.
