Seat belt height adjustment
Yourvehiclehasseatbeltheight
adjustmentsatthefrontoutboard
seatingpositions.Adjusttheheight
oftheshoulderbeltsothebeltrests
acrossthemiddleofyourshoulder.
Toadjusttheshoulderbeltheight,
squeezeandholdthebuttonsonthe
sideandslidetheheightadjusterup
ordown.Releasethebuttonsand
pulldownontheheightadjusterto
makesureitislockedinplace.
WARNING:Positiontheseatbeltheightadjusterssothatthe
beltrestsacrossthemiddleofyourshoulder.Failuretoadjust
theseatbeltproperlycouldreducetheeffectivenessoftheseatbelt
andincreasetheriskofinjuryinacollision.
Seat belt pretensioner
Yourvehicleisequippedwithseatbeltpretensionersatthedriverand
rightfrontpassengerseatingpositions.
Theseatbeltpretensionerremovessomeslackfromtheseatbeltsystem
atthestartofacrash.Theseatbeltpretensionerusesthesamecrash
sensorsystemasthefrontairbagsandside-curtainairbags(ifequipped).
Whentheseatbeltpretensionerdeploys,thelapandshoulderbeltare
tightened.
Whentheside-curtainairbags(ifequipped)and/orthefrontairbagsare
activated,theseatbeltpretensionersforthedriverandrightfront
passengerseatingpositionswillbeactivatedwhentherespectiveseatbelt
isproperlybuckled.
WARNING:Thedriverandtherightfrontpassengerseatbelt
system(includingretractors,bucklesandheightadjusters)must
bereplacedifthevehicleisinvolvedinacollisionthatresultsin
deploymentoffrontairbags,seat-mountedsideairbags,orside-curtain
airbags(ifequipped)andseatbeltpretensioners.
