Donotoverfilltheenginewithoil.Oillevelsabovetheupper
holeorupperlinemaycauseenginedamage.Iftheengineis
overfilled,someoilmustberemovedfromtheenginebyanauthorized
dealer.

Putthedipstickbackinandensureitisfullyseated.
Adding engine oil

Checktheengineoil.Forinstructions,refertoCheckingtheengine
oilinthischapter.
Iftheengineoillevelisnotwithinthenormalrange,addonly
certifiedengineoiloftherecommendedviscosity.Removetheengine
oilfillercapanduseafunneltopourtheengineoilintotheopening.

Rechecktheengineoillevel.Makesuretheoillevelisnotabovethe
MAX,FULLorupperhole/mark(dependingonapplication)onthe
engineoilleveldipstick.

Installthedipstickandensureitisfullyseated.
Fullyinstalltheengineoilfillercapbyturningthefillercap
clockwise1/4ofaturnuntilitisseated.
Toavoidpossibleoilloss,DONOToperatethevehiclewiththe
engineoilleveldipstickand/ortheengineoilfillercapremoved.
