Tires, Wheels and Loading
WARNING:Onlyusereplacementtiresandwheelsthatarethe
samesize,loadindex,speedratingandtype(suchasP-metric
versusLT-metricorall-seasonversusall-terrain)asthoseoriginally
providedbyMazda.Therecommendedtireandwheelsizemaybe
foundoneithertheSafetyComplianceCertificationLabelortheTire
LabelwhichislocatedontheB-Pillaroredgeofthedriver’sdoor.If
thisinformationisnotfoundontheselabelsthenyoushouldconsult
yourMazdadealer.Useofanytireorwheelnotrecommendedby
Mazdacanaffectthesafetyandperformanceofyourvehicle,which
couldresultinanincreasedriskoflossofvehiclecontrol,vehicle
rollover,personalinjuryanddeath.Additionallytheuseof
non-recommendedtiresandwheelscouldcausesteering,suspension,
axleortransfercase/powertransferunitfailure.Ifyouhavequestions
regardingtirereplacement,seeanauthorizeddealer.
WARNING:Whenmountingreplacementtiresandwheels,you
shouldnotexceedthemaximumpressureindicatedonthe
sidewallofthetiretosetthebeadswithoutadditionalprecautions
listedbelow.Ifthebeadsdonotseatatthemaximumpressure
indicated,re-lubricateandtryagain.
Wheninflatingthetireformountingpressuresupto20psi(1.38bar)
greaterthanthemaximumpressureonthetiresidewall,thefollowing
precautionsmustbetakentoprotectthepersonmountingthetire:

Makesurethatyouhavethecorrecttireandwheelsize.
Lubricatethetirebeadandwheelbeadseatareaagain.
Standataminimumof12ft.(3.66m)awayfromthetire
wheelassembly.

Usebotheyeandearprotection.
Foramountingpressuremorethan20psi(1.38bar)greater
thanthemaximumpressure,aMazdaDealerorothertire
serviceprofessionalshoulddothemounting.
Alwaysinflatesteelcarcasstireswitharemoteairfillwiththe
personinflatingstandingataminimumof12ft.(3.66m)away
fromthetirewheelassembly.
Important:Remembertoreplacethewheelvalvestemswhentheroad
tiresarereplacedonyourvehicle.
Itisrecommendedthatthetwofronttiresortworeartiresgenerallybe
replacedasapair.
