DynamicStabilityControl(DSC),whichfunctionstohelpavoidskids
orlateralslides
RollStabilityControl™(RSC),whichfunctionstohelpavoida
vehicleroll-over.
TheElectronicStabilityControlsystemautomaticallyenableseachtime
theengineisstarted.AllfeaturesoftheElectronicStabilityControl
system(TCS,DSC,andRSC)areactiveandmonitorthevehiclefrom
start-up.However,thesystemwillonlyinterveneifthedrivingsituation
requiresit.
TheElectronicStabilityControl
systemincludesanElectronic
StabilityControlЉOffЉbuttononthe
centeroftheinstrumentpanel,and
a“slidingcar”icon
instrumentcluster.The“slidingcar”
intheinstrumentclusterwillilluminatetemporarilyduring
inthe
icon
start-upaspartofanormalsystemself-check,orduringdrivingifa
drivingsituationcausestheElectronicStabilityControlsystemto
operate.Ifthe“slidingcar”icon
illuminatessteadily,verifythatthe
ElectronicStabilityControlsystemisnotmanuallydisabledbypressing
theElectronicStabilityControlЉOffЉbuttonlocatedonthecenterstack
oftheinstrumentpanel.Ifthe“slidingcar”icon
remainssteadily
illuminated,havethesystemservicedbyanauthorizeddealer
immediately.
WhenElectronicStabilityControlperformsanormalsystemself-check,
somedriversmaynoticeaslightmovementofthebrake,and/ora
rumble,grunting,orgrindingnoiseafterstartupandwhendrivingoff.
WhenaneventoccursthatactivatesElectronicStabilityControlyoumay
experiencethefollowing:
