Toplayyourportablemusicplayerusingtheauxiliaryinputjack:

Beginwiththevehicleparkedandtheradioturnedoff.
Ensurethatthebatteryinyourportablemusicplayerisneworfully
chargedandthatthedeviceisturnedoff.

Attachoneendoftheaudioextensioncabletotheheadphone
outputofyourplayerandtheotherendoftheaudioextensioncable
totheAIJinyourvehicle.

Turntheradioon,usingeitheratunedFMstationoraCDloaded
intothesystem.Adjustthevolumetoacomfortablelisteninglevel.
Turntheportablemusicplayeronandadjustthevolumeto1/2the
volume.
PressAUXonthevehicleradiorepeatedlyuntilLINE,LINEINor
SYNCLINEINappearsinthedisplay.
Youshouldhearaudiofromyourportablemusicplayeralthoughit
maybelow.

Adjustthesoundonyourportablemusicplayeruntilitreachesthe
leveloftheFMstationorCDbyswitchingbackandforthbetween
theAUXandFMorCDcontrols.
Troubleshooting:
1.
Donotconnecttheaudioinputjacktoalineleveloutput.Linelevel
outputsareintendedforconnectiontoahomestereoandarenot
compatiblewiththeAIJ.TheAIJwillonlyworkcorrectlywith
devicesthathaveaheadphoneoutputwithavolumecontrol.

Donotsettheportablemusicplayer’svolumelevelhigherthanis
necessarytomatchthevolumeoftheCDorFMradioinyouraudio
systemasthiswillcausedistortionandwillreducesoundquality.
Manyportablemusicplayershavedifferentoutputlevels,sonotall
playersshouldbesetatthesamelevels.Someplayerswillsound
bestatfullvolumeandotherswillneedtobesetatalowervolume.

Ifthemusicsoundsdistortedatlowerlisteninglevels,turnthe
portablemusicplayervolumedown.Iftheproblemspersists,replace
orrechargethebatteriesintheportablemusicplayer.
Theportablemusicplayermustbecontrolledinthesamemanner
whenitisusedwithheadphonesastheAIJdoesnotprovidecontrol
(play,pause,etc.)overtheattachedportablemusicplayer.
