Checking engine coolant
Theconcentrationandlevelofenginecoolantshouldbecheckedatthe
intervalslistedinscheduledmaintenance.Thecoolantconcentration
shouldbemaintainedat50/50coolantandwater,whichequatestoa
freezepointof-34°F(-36°C).Coolantconcentrationtestingispossible
withahydrometerorantifreezetester(suchastheRotundaBatteryand
AntifreezeTester,014–R1060).Thelevelofcoolantshouldbemaintained
atthe“FULLCOLD”levelorwithinthe“COLDFILLRANGE”inthe
coolantreservoir.Ifthelevelfallsbelow,addcoolantpertheinstructions
intheAddingenginecoolantsection.
Yourvehiclewasfactory-filledwitha50/50enginecoolantandwater
concentration.Iftheconcentrationofcoolantfallsbelow40%orabove
60%,
