Tire and wheel alignment
Abadjoltfromhittingacurborpotholecancausethefrontendofyour
vehicletobecomemisalignedorcausedamagetoyourtires.Ifyour
vehicleseemstopulltooneside,vibrateorshakewhenyou’redriving,
thewheelsmaybeoutofalignment.Haveaqualifiedtechnicianata
Mazdadealercheckthewheelalignmentperiodically.
Wheelmisalignmentinthefrontortherearcancauseunevenandrapid
treadwearofyourtiresandshouldbecorrectedbyaqualifiedtechnician
ataMazdadealer.Frontwheeldrive(FWD)vehiclesandthosewithan
independentrearsuspensionrequirealignmentofallfourwheels.
Thetireshouldalsobebalancedperiodically.Anunbalancedtireand
wheelassemblymayresultinirregulartirewear.
NOTE:Whenitistimetoreplacefronttireswithnewones,thisisan
idealtimetoperformanalignment.Newtiresshouldbebalancedatthe
timetheyareinstalled.
Tire rotation
Rotatingyourtiresattherecommendedinterval(asindicatedinthe
ScheduledmaintenancesectionoftheMaintenanceand
Specificationschapter)willhelpyourtireswearmoreevenly,providing
bettertireperformanceandlongertirelife.
