DaytimeRunningLamps(DRL)can
makeiteasierforotherstoseethe
frontofyourvehicleduringtheday.
Fullyfunctional daytimerunning
lampsarerequired onallvehicles
firstsoldinCanada.
Turningtheexterior lampcontrolto
offortothelow-beam headlamp
position willturnofftheDRL.Ifthe
parkinglampsorthefoglampswere
turnedoninstead, theDRLwillstill
turnoff.
Whentheexterior lampcontrolisin
AUTOanditisdarkenoughoutside,
theDRLturnsoffandthelow-beam
headlamps willturnon.Whenitis
brightenoughoutside, thelow-beam
headlamps willgooff,andtheDRL
willturnbackon.Ifthevehicleis
startedinadarkgarage,the
TheDRLsystemwillmakeeither
thereducedintensity low-beam
headlamps ordedicated DRL's
comeonwhenthefollowing
conditions aremet:
Thiswillworkregardless ofgear
position andwhetherornotthe
parkingbrakeisset.
automatic headlamp systemcomes
onimmediately.Oncethevehicle
leavesthegarage,ittakesabout
oneminutefortheautomatic
headlamp systemtochangeto
DRLifitislightoutside. Duringthat
delay,theinstrument panelcluster
maynotbeasbrightasusual.
