Children whoareupagainst,
orverycloseto,anyairbag
whenitinflates canbeseriously
injuredorkilled.Airbagsplus
lap-shoulder beltsofferprotection
foradultsandolderchildren, but
notforyoungchildren andinfants.
Neitherthevehicle's safetybelt
systemnoritsairbagsystemis
designedforthem.Young
childrenandinfantsneedthe
protection thatachildrestraint
systemcanprovide. Always
securechildrenproperly in

Thereisanairbagreadiness light
ontheinstrument panelcluster,
whichshowstheairbagsymbol.
Thesystemcheckstheairbag
electrical systemformalfunctions.

formoreinformation.
Occupants shouldnotleanonor
sleepagainstthedoororside
windowsinseatingpositions with
seat-mounted sideimpactairbags
and/orroof-rail airbags.
