tothevehicle. ThespecialiPod
connection cablethatcame
equipped withthevehicleorthat
wasmadeavailable fromyour
dealer/retailer mustbeusedto
commandandcontrolaniPod.
ToconnectandcontroltheiPod
usingtheradiocontrols, usethe
specialiPodconnection cablethat
cameasstandardequipment with
thevehicleaspartoftheUSB
option.ThespecialiPodconnection
cablecanalsobepurchased or
madeavailable, fromyourdealer/
retailer.Seeyourdealer/retailer for
moreinformation.
ToconnecttheiPod,connectone
endofthespecialiPodconnection
cabletotheiPod’sdockconnector.
Connecttheotherendtoboththe
USBportandtheauxiliary inputjack
locatedinthecenterconsole. The
USBportandtheauxiliary inputjack
arelocatedinthecenterconsole
bin.IfthevehicleisonandtheUSB
connection works,aGMlogomay
appearontheiPod.TheiPod's
musicinformation willbeshownon
theradio’sdisplayandthemusic
beginsplayingthroughthevehicles
audiosystem.
Useastandard3.5mm(1/8in.)
stereocabletoconnectanolder
iPodmodelthatisnotsupported,
orifthespecialiPodconnection
cableismissing. Commandand
controloftheiPodusingthe
infotainment controlbuttonsand
knobsisnotsupported whenonly
a3.5mm(1/8in.)stereocable
isused.
UsetheMenu/Select knobtobring
uptheiPodMenuandselectSongs,
Artists, Albums,Playlists andAudio
bookstoplayfromtheiPod.
DisconnectinganiPod
Toproperly dismount theiPodUSB
devicebeforedisconnecting from
thevehicle, pressthesoftkeyunder
theEJECTtabontheinfotainment
displayscreenduringiPod
playback.
TheiPod'sbatterychargeswhileit
isconnected tothevehicleandif
theignitionisturnedtoACC/
ACCESSORYorON/RUN.Itcan
alsobeleftconnected tothevehicle
afterthevehicleisturnedoff.With
thevehicleturnedoff,theiPodwill
automatically bepoweredoffand
willnotchargeordrawpowerfrom
thevehicle's battery.
CommandingandControlling
aniPod
AniPod™canbecontrolled by
usingtheradiobuttonsandknobs;
thesonginformation showsonthe
infotainment system's display.
